Rallying the Troops!!

On Sunday evening, Mayor Miles met with a core group of campaign volunteers to discuss canvassing and issues surrounding the campaign. Some of the topics discussed were how to handle voter registration, requests for absentee ballots, the new Non-Citizen Voting law and forms involved with it, as well as upcoming candidate forums, important dates, and how to answer potential questions from residents. Rules on how to set out signs were also addressed. Volunteers were reminded that signs must go in private yards unless the owners gives permission to place signs in the "tree box" in their front yard. Dr. Milton Guevara and his wife, Zoe were there and great thanks was given to them for translating our materials into Spanish. Game plans were discuss and upcoming events planned. The meeting was topped off with the perfect dinner for a rainy night that you can only find at Ihop. Pancakes anyone?
